About the Role  Are you passionate about faith formation and equipping others for mission? We are seeking a Formation Facilitator – The Bethany Way to lead the day-to-day delivery of The Bethany Way Formation Journey, a transformative formation offering supporting parishes and communities across the Archdiocese of Melbourne. 

Working within Proclaim: The Office for Mission Renewal, you will play a key role in forming and accompanying lay people through engaging retreat experiences, participant support and program coordination. This is a unique opportunity to contribute to the Church’s mission by helping others grow as missionary disciples. 

 

Key Responsibilities 

  • Facilitate and deliver formation content at monthly retreats and introductory formation sessions. 
  • Coordinate the annual participant recruitment process and provide ongoing support throughout the formation journey. 
  • Manage the administration of The Bethany Way online platform and participant communications. 
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with participants, graduates and key ministry partners. 
  • Support the delivery of other formation initiatives across Proclaim as required. 

 

About You 

Experience delivering adult faith formation within a Catholic context. 

Strong facilitation, presentation and communication skills. 

The ability to coordinate multiple priorities while maintaining strong organisational and administrative practices. 

Tertiary qualifications in Theology, Religious Education or a related discipline (desirable). 

A current Working with Children Check and National Police Check (or the ability to obtain these). 

A collaborative, adaptable and mission-focused approach, with a commitment to the teachings and mission of the Catholic Church.
