As a Fleet Allocator at Cartage Australia, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the seamless coordination of our transportation operations, contributing to our continued success and reputation as an industry leader.

The position requires exceptional communication and problem solving skills that build relationships, teamwork and a commitment to achieving success through our operational KPI’s. The key responsibilities include:

  • Scheduling and dispatching trucks to meet customer demands;
  • Resolve logistical challenges efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Working closely with the Operations team to maintain continuity of workflow between day and night shift;
  • Communicating with drivers and customers to ensure smooth operations; and
  • Excellent organisational skills with the ability to work collaboratively as part of the team to achieve business objectives.
  • Be in charge of ensuring fleet utilisation, triangulation and efficiencies are met within the day to day fleet scheduling


About you:

You will have previous experience in a similar role, ideally from a recognised transport company, and are passionate about logistics. You must possess excellent leadership skills with great organisation skills with the ability to work as part of the team to achieve business objectives. Additionally, working knowledge or understanding of fatigue management, Chain of Responsibility, and other relevant OHS legislation would be useful. Well-developed and confident computer skills, including MS Office will also set you apart.

You will be required to meet Cartage Australia’s employment criteria which may include but not be limited to a criminal history check and full medical with a drug and alcohol test.


Hours:

Monday – Friday day (10-11 Hour Shifts)

Approx.: 4am-2:30pm

2 x Saturdays per month 4am-12pm
