Carlile Swim is looking for an experienced and people-focused Area Lead to oversee multiple swim schools across the Northside of Brisbane.
Working closely with the Head of Operations, you’ll mentor and empower Swim School Managers, strengthen team culture, drive centre performance and help deliver exceptional experiences for children and families.

The Role:
As an Area Lead, you will play a pivotal role in the success of multiple swim schools across Brisbane’s Northside.
You will provide leadership, guidance and support to Swim School Managers, helping them build engaged teams, deliver high-quality programs and achieve strong operational outcomes.
This is a highly visible leadership role that balances people leadership, operational performance, family experience and continuous improvement.
You will regularly work within centres, observing operations firsthand, supporting leaders in real time and helping drive a culture of excellence across your portfolio.
Key Responsibilities:
Leadership & Team Development:
- Mentor and empower Swim School Managers to lead confident, high-performing teams
- Build leadership capability through regular support, development and feedback
- Support succession planning and the development of future leaders
- Foster a positive, safe and values-led culture across all centres
Operational Performance
- Guide teams to achieve performance targets across bookings, retention, staffing and program delivery
- Monitor operational performance and identify opportunities for improvement
- Translate strategic priorities into clear actions and measurable outcomes
- Drive consistency and accountability across multiple locations
Program Quality & Family Experience
- Champion high-quality program delivery and operational excellence
- Support leaders to deliver exceptional experiences for children and families
- Assist with family issue resolution and deliver positive outcomes
- Promote continuous improvement across programs, systems and processes
Safety, Compliance & Risk Management
- Ensure compliance with safeguarding, WHS and operational requirements
- Support leaders in maintaining safe, efficient and compliant centres
- Identify and respond to operational risks through proactive leadership
- Promote a strong culture of team wellbeing and safety
About You
You are an experienced leader who enjoys developing people and helping teams succeed.
You bring:
- Experience leading and developing leadership teams
- Strong operational and people leadership capability
- The ability to build trust, influence others and drive positive outcomes
- Confidence managing change and supporting teams through growth
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
- A passion for creating exceptional experiences for children and families
Experience in multi-site leadership, education, aquatic operations, hospitality, retail or service-based environments will be highly regarded.
