About the role

We are seeking
a capable and proactive Work Health & Safety Coordinator to support the
ongoing development and delivery of our WHS systems, reporting, and compliance
activities. This is a part-time role (0.5 FTE) offering flexibility in how
hours are worked, either across 2.5 full days or approximately 20 hours per
week.
Reporting into
the Executive Assistant to the CEO and Deputy CEO, and working closely with the
executive team, this role plays an important part in supporting safe work
practices and continuous improvement across the organisation.
Key
responsibilities
WHS systems,
compliance & reporting
- Support the implementation and continuous
improvement of WHS systems, processes, and reporting
- Maintain hazard and incident reporting systems,
ensuring accurate data entry and follow-up actions
- Assist with incident and injury investigations,
including documentation and reporting
- Support WHS reporting, dashboards, and trend
analysis for leadership review
Risk &
safety support
- Assist with hazard identification, risk
assessments, and control implementation
- Support emergency procedures, evacuation planning,
and preparedness activities
- Contribute to WHS committee coordination, including
meeting support and follow-up actions
- Assist in monitoring and improving workplace safety
performance across services
Operational
WHS support
- Provide advice and support to managers on WHS
processes and requirements
- Assist with workplace inspections, equipment safety
reviews, and manual handling/ergonomic assessments
- Support onboarding and service setup processes from
a WHS perspective
- Liaise with internal teams and external
stakeholders (including regulators where required)
Key skills and
experience
- Experience in a WHS coordination or advisory role
- Strong understanding of WHS legislation and
compliance requirements (SA)
- Experience with incident reporting systems and WHS
documentation
- Ability to analyse data and support reporting and
trend identification
- Strong communication and stakeholder engagement
skills
- High attention to detail and ability to manage
competing priorities
- Ability to work independently in a part-time,
flexible environment
- Certificate IV in Work Health and Safety (or
equivalent experience)
