About the role
At Capital Health Network (CHN), the Quality, Risk & Compliance Coordinator plays a trusted and influential role in strengthening how we operate, make decisions and deliver safe, compliant services to our community. Working across the organisation, you’ll help shape and embed quality, risk and compliance frameworks that are practical, current and genuinely useful. This includes supporting compliance with legislative, regulatory and funder requirements, maintaining and improving policies and procedures, and helping teams understand how governance applies to their everyday work.
Working closely with CHN leaders and operational teams, this position supports our process
and system maturity by embedding quality, risk and compliance into a core part of how we work. From coordinating internal audits and strengthening risk and safety controls to maintaining fit‑for‑purpose documentation and systems, your work will directly support CHN’s ability to operate with confidence, integrity and accountability.
About the team
Reporting to Senior Manager Corporate Operations, the role will be part of the growing Corporate Services Unit (CSU). CSU sits within the broader Office of CEO Business Unit and serves as a central point of expertise and support for our organisation, bringing together a range of key professional services including Office Coordination, Finance and Procurement, Human Resources, Business and Data Analysis, Systems and IT, and Quality, Risk and Compliance.

You are an experienced Quality, Risk and Compliance professional who brings practical knowledge across governance, quality improvement, information security and risk management. Familiarity with ISO standards including operational knowledge of ISO3100, ISO27001 and ISO9001 is important in this role. The successful candidate will be someone who can step in and operate with high degree of autonomy from the onset and have the skills to lead change processes, build engagement and demonstrate project leadership capabilities at all levels of the organisation.
This is a hands-on coordination role with impact, suited to someone who balances critical thinking with the ability to drive, coordinate and deliver practical outcomes. Your passion in driving excellence by embedding organisational processes and systems of work, leading compliance activities on a wide range of operations relevant to a dynamic not-for-profit environment will see you drive meaningful health and wellbeing outcomes for the ACT community. You’re comfortable working with a high level of autonomy and enjoy collaborating with others to influence change, build engagement and provide clear advice to improve CHN’s systems and processes.
This position will fit a candidate who has at least 6 years of experience in governance, quality, risk and compliance, along with proven experience in roles central to developing, maintaining or contributing to organisation processes and systems of work. The successful candidate must be able to demonstrate working knowledge of ISO standards and strong proficiency in a range of IT systems and tools to drive compliance programs and support day-to-day operations.
Work location
This position is based in our newly renovated and modern office, located in the heart of the Belconnen town centre. We support flexibility and a hybrid work model at CHN and are happy to work with the successful candidate to ensure work and life balance.
