About the role
The Allied Health Project Officer
(AHPO) role provides leadership, coordination, advocacy, education and development
of allied health partnerships to influence and support the integration of the
allied health sector within primary care. The Project Officer’s objectives will
be guided by the 10-Year Primary Health Care Plan, Strengthening Medicare
Taskforce Report and the National PHN Allied Health in Primary Care Engagement
Framework to strengthen our engagement with the allied health sector within the
ACT.
About the team
Reporting to Senior Manager Primary
Care Integration, the role sits within the Primary Care Integration Business
Unit. The team’s core focus is to support primary care in the ACT in data
driven continuous quality improvement activities and works closely with general
practices and primary care workforce within the ACT to provide support on a
range of initiatives and proprieties. The team also works in collaboration with
internal CHN teams to deliver high quality education to practices and fosters
networking opportunities to deliver person-centred care at the right time and
at the right place.

The successful
applicant will have a good understanding of the allied health and general
practice environments within the ACT and will work across the allied health
sector using their project management and change management skills to support
the planning and implementation of data-driven, digitally enabled, value-based
multidisciplinary models of care in primary care.
You’ll spend time
working closely with internal CHN teams, allied health professionals and
general practices within the ACT to guide the development of CHN’s Allied Health
Engagement and Communication Plan. You will also support the gathering of information
about allied health within the ACT and apply strong research and evaluation skills
to identify opportunities and gaps to generate insights that support the role’s
objectives.
As part of working
at an innovative organisation, you will also have an opportunity contribute to process
improvement and broader CHN projects and initiatives, and work closely across
all business units within CHN.
Work location
This position is based in our
newly renovated and modern office, located in the heart of the Belconnen town
centre. We support flexibility and a hybrid work model at CHN and are happy to
