The opportunity

Are you passionate about improving health outcomes and empowering professionals through education? We’re seeking an enthusiastic Education and Training Coordinator to support community-based smoking and vaping cessation initiatives and projects across Western Australia.

As part of a passionate, small and purpose driven team, you’ll play a key role designing, delivering, and evaluating evidence-based training programs that equip professionals with the knowledge and skills to provide effective smoking cessation support. While the program is already delivering strong outcomes, this is your opportunity to bring fresh thinking, drive innovation and further enhance its impact.

You’re a confident and engaging facilitator who thrives on building relationships, collaborating with diverse stakeholders, and empowering others to create positive behaviour through education.

Based in Subiaco, this is a part-time contract position (0.8 FTE) until 30 June 2027, with the strong possibility of extension.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Deliver engaging, best-practice education and training programs focused on smoking and vaping cessation care.

• Facilitate online training and professional development opportunities for health and community service professionals in collaboration with key stakeholders.

• Provide ongoing support, guidance, and coaching to team members and professionals.

• Develop and maintain strong, collaborative relationships with internal and external stakeholders.

• Contribute to the continuous improvement of training resources, programs, and educational materials to ensure they remain current, effective, and evidence based.

About You

• A tertiary qualification in Health Promotion, Public Health, Education, Psychology, or Allied Health.

• At least 5 years’ experience in a similar education, training, or health promotion role.

• Demonstrated experience in developing and delivering brief intervention programs and facilitating group-based education or training.

• Experience designing and implementing high-quality training and education packages for both face-to-face and online delivery.

• Practical knowledge of addiction theory, behavioural change models, smoking cessation practices, and evidence-based methodologies.

• Strong computer literacy and proficiency with Microsoft Office and other relevant software applications.

• Excellent interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills, both written and verbal.

• The ability to work autonomously while contributing positively as part of a professional team.

• Have a positive approach to the workplace
