About the role

Cancer Council Australia’s Licensing Division plays an important role in extending our cancer prevention mission beyond education and advocacy. For more than 20 years, the Licensing team has partnered with leading Australian retailers and manufacturers to bring trusted Cancer Council Australia’s branded sun protection products to millions of Australians. Through these partnerships, the Licensing team helps make sun protection more accessible while generating sustainable revenue that supports Cancer Council Australia’s vital work in cancer research, prevention, advocacy and support services.

Reporting to the National Marketing Manager, Licensing and Retail, you’ll play a key role in delivering marketing initiatives that support Cancer Council Australia’s Licensing program, one of Australia’s most recognised and successful health licensing brands. Working across marketing, retail, digital and external licensing partners, you’ll coordinate campaigns, manage social media, support influencer activity, assist with events and photoshoots, and ensure all marketing activity aligns with Cancer Council Australia’s brand standards.

This is a varied, hands-on role where you’ll collaborate with licensees, Cancer Council Retail, agencies and internal teams to deliver marketing campaigns, coordinate events, create engaging content, analyse campaign performance and support the day-to-day administration of the Licensing marketing program.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Coordinating integrated marketing campaigns and retail promotions
  • Managing the @shopcancercouncil Instagram channel and supporting digital marketing activity
  •  Developing marketing collateral including pitches and presentations, social content, reels, and influencer packs
  • Coordinating photoshoots, events and promotional activations
  • Undertaking campaign reporting, market research and performance analysis
  • Triaging and responding to requests from licensees, partners and other Cancer Councils
  • Sharing marketing activities with internal teams to provide visibility, drive collaboration and message consistency
  • Maintaining brand guidelines, approvals and licensing compliance processes
  • Providing administrative support across the Licensing team, including invoices, meeting coordination and supplier management
  • Building strong relationships with licensees, agencies, internal and external stakeholders to deliver successful marketing outcomes.

About you

You’re an enthusiastic marketing professional who enjoys delivering campaigns from concept to completion and takes pride in producing high quality work. You’re equally comfortable coordinating projects, creating engaging content and managing multiple priorities at any one time. You enjoy balancing creativity with organisation, building strong stakeholder relationships and contributing to work that has a genuine impact on the health and wellbeing of Australians

You bring:

  • Qualifications in Marketing or a related discipline (or equivalent experience)
  • At least two years’ experience in a marketing role
  • Experience delivering integrated marketing campaigns across multiple channels
  • Strong knowledge managing social media platforms, influencer marketing and content creation
  • Strong stakeholder management skills and experience working with external partners\
  • Excellent written communication and attention to detail
  • Strong organisational and project coordination skills with the ability to manage competing priorities
  • Experience maintaining marketing assets, records or approval processes
  • Confidence working both independently and collaboratively
  • Experience growing and managing social media communities
  • Canva, Adobe Creative Suite or similar design skills
  • Alignment with Cancer Council Australia’s mission and values
  • Understanding of cancer support services or the broader health sector (desirable)
