Join our team and take on a key role as an experienced Administrator with a great opportunity to impact an established centre and contribute to patient care.

At our state-of-the-art Cancer Care Centre in Frenchs Forest, we are seeking a dedicated and patient-focused Medical Receptionist to join us in a permanent, full-time position for 5 days per week, Monday to Friday inclusive.

This role will support our passionate and dynamic team in delivering high-quality cancer care services to the local community. As part of a patient-centric organisation, you will play a crucial role in ensuring smooth operations and exceptional care for our patients.

What’s Involved:

We are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated individual with multi-year medical administration experience, with radiation oncology or medical oncology experience ideal.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Patient liaison: Welcoming patients, answering calls, managing correspondence, and scheduling appointments.
  • Patient administration: Billing, accurate data entry in our e-management system (Mosaiq), and managing records.
  • Review, create and adapt processes to optimise the effective running of the practice and deliver a great patient experience.
  • Liaising with hospitals, specialists, and allied health professionals.
  • Supporting doctors, coordinating with nurses, and assisting allied health staff in delivering patient care.

Who You Are:

  • Strong interpersonal skills, including the ability to liaise with health professionals and patients alike in line with our CCA values – Compassion, Accountability, Respect & Excellence.
  • Demonstrated ability to multitask and manage priorities effectively and to time.
  • Passionate about delivering outstanding customer service.
  • Experience in a hospital or day hospital setting is desirable.
  • Comfortable working in a collaborative team environment.

What You Bring:

  • Experience in a medical practice or oncology setting is highly regarded.
  • Familiarity with Medicare, DVA, and Private Health Insurance.
  • Well-developed organisational and time management skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to use multiple software systems and proficient in Word and Excel.
  • Strong working knowledge of medical terminology.
  • Demonstrated ability to build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders.
