At our Western Haematology and Oncology Clinics (WHOC) in West Perth, we are seeking passionate and dedicated Medical Receptionists to join our team in a permanent part-time capacity. Days are negotiable with 7.5 ordinary working hours per day & no shiftwork.
Key Responsibilities
We are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated individual ideally with experience in haematology/oncology administration. You’ll support our passionate and dynamic team in delivering high-quality cancer care to the local community. In this patient-focused role, you’ll play a key part in ensuring smooth clinic operations and exceptional experiences for our patients.
What’s involved:
Your responsibilities will include:

Patient liaison: Welcoming patients, answering calls, managing correspondence, and scheduling appointments.

Patient administration: Billing, accurate data entry in our e-management system (Episoft and Genie), and managing records.
- Liaising with hospitals, specialists, and allied health professionals.
- Supporting doctors, coordinating with nurses, and assisting allied health staff in delivering patient care.
Who You Are:
- Demonstrated ability to work with empathy and compassion.
- Demonstrated ability to multitask.
- Passionate about delivering outstanding customer service.
- Experience in a hospital or day hospital setting is desirable.
- Comfortable working in a collaborative team environment.
- Essential: Specialist practice experience and proficiency in Genie software.
What You Bring:
- Experience in a medical practice or oncology setting is highly regarded.
- Familiarity with Medicare, DVA, and Private Health Insurance.
- Well-developed organisational and time management skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to use multiple software systems and proficient in Word and Excel.
- Knowledge of medical terminology.
- Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders.
