Working closely with clinicians, executive leadership, and key healthcare stakeholders, you will identify opportunities to expand services, strengthen referral relationships, improve centre performance, and ensure the highest standards of patient care and safety.

About the Role

As Centre Manager, you will have accountability for the operational, financial, and commercial success of the centre. You will lead multidisciplinary teams, foster a positive and accountable culture, and work proactively to identify growth opportunities that support both patient access and business performance.

Key responsibilities include:

Commercial Leadership & Business Growth

  • Drive centre performance through strong commercial and operational leadership.
  • Identify opportunities for service growth, market expansion, and increased patient activity.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with referrers, healthcare providers, and community stakeholders.
  • Partner with clinicians and leadership to execute local business development initiatives.

  • Optimise patient flow, resource utilisation, and service efficiency.
  • Monitor operational and clinical KPIs and implement improvement initiatives.
  • Ensure compliance with accreditation, regulatory, and quality requirements.
  • Drive continuous improvement and operational innovation.

Financial Management

  • Manage centre budgets and operational expenditure.
  • Monitor financial performance, activity levels, and profitability.
  • Ensure accurate billing, invoicing, reconciliations, and payroll processes.
  • Deliver sustainable financial outcomes while maintaining exceptional patient care standards.

Leadership & Team Development

  • Lead, coach, and develop multidisciplinary teams to achieve high performance.
  • Create a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
  • Manage workforce planning, rostering, and performance management processes.
  • Support staff development through mentoring, coaching, and ongoing feedback.

Stakeholder Engagement

  • Act as the key site leader and primary point of contact for clinicians, patients, and executive leadership.
  • Build trusted relationships across internal and external stakeholder groups.
  • Collaborate closely with clinical leaders to deliver integrated, patient-centred care.
  • Strengthen referral pathways and support local market engagement initiatives.

About You

To succeed in this role, you will be a confident and commercially astute healthcare leader who enjoys balancing operational excellence with business growth and stakeholder engagement.

You will bring:

  • Proven healthcare leadership experience, including management of a centre, service, clinic, hospital department, or healthcare business.
  • Strong commercial acumen with demonstrated experience managing budgets, analysing performance data, and improving business outcomes.
  • Experience in business development, referrer engagement, account management, or growing healthcare services.
  • A track record of leading multidisciplinary teams and developing high-performing cultures.
  • Excellent relationship-building and stakeholder management skills.
  • Strong understanding of healthcare quality, safety, compliance, and accreditation requirements.
  • The ability to lead change, drive continuous improvement, and deliver results in a complex healthcare environment.
  • Exceptional communication, problem-solving, and leadership skills.
