Description

Clarendon Homes, one of Australia’s leading residential builders is growing. We are expanding the team and looking for an experienced Master Draftsperson to join our growing Design team.

 

What you will do?

As the Master Draftsperson you will develop, maintain, and review our REVIT Masters, Construction details, and Floorplan design option brochure plans, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and alignment with company standards

 

Day to day you will:

  • Develop and review detailed REVIT Masters, ensuring alignment and consistency with design briefs, masters standards and compliance requirements.
  • Verify constructability of designs within Revit models, minimising rework, and construction issues
  • Ensure all drawings comply with the National Construction Code (NCC) and relevant building regulations
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of construction techniques, materials, and legislative requirements
  • Work closely with our Designers, Construction, and Estimators, ensuring our Masters are co-ordinated, consistent, accurate and aligned with our company specification and drawings standards
  • Liaise with external consultants and regulatory bodies as required
  • Refine and enhance design details, incorporating best-practice methodologies for efficiency and quality
  • Identify opportunities to streamline drafting and Revit processes, improving speed, accuracy, and coordination
  • Contribute to the development and optimisation of Revit families, ensuring they are aligned with company standards and our team requirements

 

About you?

  • You will have a high level of technical expertise and problem-solving ability, ensuring complex designs are practical, buildable, and cost-effective along with:
  • Extensive expertise in REVIT with a minimum of 5years experience in a similar role, preferably in a volume builder environment
  • Experience developing and refining complex working drawings, ensuring buildability and compliance
  • Strong understanding of building regulations, construction processes, and compliance requirements
  • Detail-oriented and meticulous, ensuring high levels of drafting accuracy
  • Proactive and solutions-focused, with strong problem-solving skills
  • Collaborative and team-oriented, ensuring strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders
  • Resilient and adaptable, able to manage multiple complex projects in a fast-paced environment
