Description

Campbell Property Group (CPG), one of Australia’s leading residential construction and property development companies, is seeking a highly skilled Draftsperson to join our Clarendon Homes team in Norwest.

 

You will play a key role in visually representing and translating our customers visions into compliant tender, contract and/ or construction plans.

 

What you’ll do:

This position involves meticulous attention to detail, adherence to building regulations, and proactive problem-solving to ensure accurate and personalised designs that align with both customer expectations and Clarendon ‘s product range.

 

On a daily basis, you will:

  • Interpret sales paperwork and sales variations, translating them into accurate and comprehensive drawings
  • Produce tender plans, including site, floor, and external elevations
  • Generate full sets of contract plans
  • Draw variations and prepare lodgement documentation
  • Create detailed construction plans that align with contract and post contract variation documentation and comply with relevant variation policy
  • Provide clear and comprehensive documentation for the Estimating department
  • Assess site conditions and ensure compliance with relevant authorities and regulations, as well as the Clarendon variation policy
  • Coordinate reports on factors such as flood, bush, BASIX, hydraulics, and landscaping and incorporate requirements in the drawing (unless completed by Permits)
  • Read 88B, 10.7 and collaborate with sales to ensure compliance in design
  • Interpret best siting outcomes in accordance with customers preference and align plans with CPG’s construction methods
  • Verify structural designs from external agencies (engineers) and ensure adherence to current Australian standards, particularly NCC compliance
  • Implement and maintain QA from third party partners (Platinum Global standards.)
  • Consolidate all variations through a rigorous QA process prior to commencing construction of the home
  • Respond to requests for information (RFIs) from certifiers
  • Collaborate with the Permits team for ordering necessary reports

 

About you:

This position requires a detail-oriented and proactive individual with excellent communication skills, a strong commitment to compliance, and the ability to collaborate across departments to ensure the successful execution of tasks even when working under pressure.

 

You will also have:

  • Previous drafting experience within project home builders
  • Experience developing working drawings for residential construction company or volume home builder
  • Understanding of Council/CDC process
  • Authority Guidelines 88B, 10.7, DCP
  • Experience using REVIT
  • Understanding of building structures and services
  • This position requires a detail-oriented and proactive individual with excellent communication skills, a strong commitment to compliance, and the ability to collaborate across departments to ensure the successful execution of tasks even when working under pressure.
