They’re responsible for making Broadsheet the number one source of news about eating and drinking in Melbourne, with editorial output that’s insightful, accurate, timely and original. This is a
hands-on production role, involving full-cycle editorial production: ideation, planning, commissioning,

They host events for Broadsheet’s subscribers and provide expertise to the wider business for brand and commercial projects.
The editor is responsible for curating a mix of content that captures and defines the zeitgeist in Melbourne while also sharing stories of those who have driven and underpin the city’s food and drink culture over decades. They think strategically about how the editorial they produce contributes to and grows Broadsheet’s brand, credibility and audience.
Key responsibilities include commissioning, editing and writing food and drink news and features; uploading and publishing content; video spotlights; newsletter production; and contributor management. They deliver a content schedule that drives return readers and increases engagement.
