Description

We are a boutique accounting firm based in Nedlands, providing a diverse range of accounting, taxation and corporate services to a portfolio of large private companies.

We are currently seeking a motivated, enthusiastic and dedicated Senior Accountant to join our team. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced accounting professional looking to further develop their career in a dynamic, supportive and rewarding environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Preparation and reconciliation of financial statements and reports
  • General ledger and journal entries and processing, month-end closure processes.
  • Timely and accurate completion of month-end and year-end reporting, including full balance sheet monthly reconciliations
  • Oversight and reconciliation of floorplan facilities and vehicle stock funding
  • Data analysis and reporting
  • Assisting with report preparation, payroll records, expense reviews, maintenance of financial databases, month-end and year-end close processes, floorplan reconciliation and BAS preparation
  • Preparation of month-end management accounts, general ledger maintenance, month-end closure including accruals, prepayments, capital purchases, payroll journals and stock maintenance
  • Preparation of annual financial statements
  • Assist managers and team members when required

About You:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Commerce or Finance
  • Minimum 4+ years’ accounting experience in a commercial or public practice environment
  • CPA or CA qualified (or nearing completion) highly regarded
  • Strong technical accounting and analytical skills
  • Automotive or dealership experience preferred
  • Advanced attention to detail with a strong compliance and process focus
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong knowledge of the Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively in a fast-paced environment
  • Professional, motivated and career-focused with the ability to work autonomously and within a team
  • Proactive attitude with a willingness to take initiative and meet deadlines
  • Australian work rights – this is essential
