A Day in the Life: How You’ll Make an Impact
As an Early Childhood Educator with BPA, you are at the heart of the learning experience. You will:
- Collaborate and Contribute: Work closely with the Room Leader and ECT to co-design and implement an engaging, emergent curriculum that reflects the children’s interests and developmental needs.
- Bring Learning to Life: Actively participate in children’s play to scaffold their learning, foster their curiosity, and create moments of joy and discovery.
- Nurture and Support: Ensure the safety and wellbeing of all children through active supervision and by creating a warm, secure, and inclusive environment.
- Build Positive Relationships: Form genuine and respectful partnerships with children, families, and your colleagues, contributing to a positive and welcoming centre community.
- Observe and Document: Play a key role in observing and documenting children’s learning and development, making their progress visible to families.
- What You’ll Bring: Your Skills and Experience
To be successful in this role, you will have
Essential Qualifications:
- A Certificate III or Diploma in Early Childhood Education and Care (or ACECQA-approved equivalent).
- A current Working With Children Check.
- Current First Aid, Anaphylaxis, and Asthma Management certification.
- The legal right to work in Australia.
Essential Knowledge & Attributes:
- A strong understanding of the Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF) and National Quality Standards (NQS).
- A patient, empathetic, and nurturing approach to working with children and families.
