Description

About Us

For over 150 years, we’ve made the toughest, no-nonsense footwear for work and play. Our global footprint spans six continents and over 70 countries, but our heart remains in Hobart, Tasmania. We’re proudly family-owned, and our commitment to innovation, quality, and resilience is reflected not only in our products but in our people.

We’re a dynamic and forward-thinking organisation, and our ICT team plays a critical role in enabling smart, scalable and data-driven solutions across the business. As we continue to grow, we’re investing in the systems, reporting and insights that help our people make better decisions and drive continuous improvement.

About the Role

We’re seeking a Business Intelligence Solutions Architect to join our ICT team on a 12-month contract. Based at our Moonah Office and reporting to the Head of ICT, this role will help create business efficiencies through the development of business intelligence solutions across Microsoft reporting and analytics platforms.

This role will be heavily involved in the analysis, design and implementation of reporting standards, data models and business intelligence solutions. You’ll work closely with stakeholders across the business to understand complex reporting and data analysis requirements, translating them into practical, sustainable solutions that improve visibility, accuracy and decision-making.

You’ll design, build and document automated reports using tools such as Power BI, Fabric, Power Pivot, Power Query and SQL Server, while also identifying trends and opportunities to improve service levels, reporting quality and business outcomes.

This is a highly collaborative role that requires strong technical capability, excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to influence and support stakeholders across a range of business areas.

Key Responsibilities

You will:

  • Work with individual business units to understand reporting, data and analytics requirements.
  • Translate complex departmental needs into fit-for-purpose business intelligence solutions.
  • Build and deliver consistent, accurate reports that highlight KPIs and key business health metrics.
  • Design, build and maintain dashboards, data models and automated reporting solutions.
  • Support the development and improvement of reporting standards across the business.
  • Resolve data quality and integrity issues through investigation, analysis and corrective action.
  • Package best practices and lessons learned into useful methodologies, documentation and shared resources.
  • Maintain report quality by proactively identifying and managing potential issues.

About You

You are a highly capable BI professional with strong technical expertise and a genuine interest in helping businesses use data more effectively. You’re comfortable working through complexity, asking the right questions and turning business needs into clear, reliable and useful reporting solutions.

You’ll bring strong stakeholder engagement skills and the ability to influence, guide and support people across different functions. You’ll be confident working independently, managing competing priorities and contributing to multiple projects at once.

You will have demonstrated experience in:

  • Microsoft Excel at an expert level.
  • Microsoft Power BI, Fabric, Power Pivot and Power Query.
  • Analysing complex datasets and identifying meaningful trends.
  • Data mining practices and reporting tools.
  • Troubleshooting data quality and integrity issues.
  • Building accurate, practical and user-focused reporting solutions.
  • Working collaboratively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Communicating complex information clearly and professionally.

What We Offer

In return, we can offer you a dynamic and rewarding role in a market-leading, family-owned business. You’ll have the opportunity to contribute to meaningful business improvement initiatives, work with stakeholders across the organisation and help shape how Blundstone uses data and reporting to support decision-making.

We offer a competitive salary package and a range of employee benefits, including our Health and Wellbeing Program, discounted products and on-site parking and gym.
