About the Role

We are currently seeking a motivated and organised Fleet Assistant to join our operations team. This role is ideal for someone looking to build or further develop their career within the transport and logistics industry. You will play a key support role in assisting the Fleet Controller and operations team to ensure the smooth coordination of deliveries, fleet operations, and customer service activities.

This is a fast-paced and hands-on position suited to someone who enjoys problem solving, multitasking, and working within a collaborative team environment.

 

Key Responsibilities

Your duties will include, but are not limited to:

  • Assisting with the coordination of daily fleet operations
  • Monitoring vehicle movements using GPS and fleet systems
  • Supporting vehicle maintenance scheduling, servicing, and inspections
  • Coordinating delivery bookings and time-slot allocations
  • Liaising with drivers, warehouse teams, and customers regarding delivery requirements
  • Communicating booking confirmations, delays, and operational updates professionally and efficiently
  • Assisting with pallet control and reconciliation (CHEP/Loscam)
  • Maintaining accurate operational records and documentation
  • Supporting safety, compliance, and transport regulation requirements
  • Assisting with operational reporting and data entry
  • Supporting the operations team with day-to-day administrative duties

 

About You

To be successful in this role, you will ideally have:

  • Experience in administration, logistics, or transport (preferred)
  • Exposure to fleet coordination, bookings, or scheduling (desirable)
  • Strong organisational and time management skills
  • High attention to detail
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • The ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
  • A proactive and team-oriented attitude
  • The ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism
  • Experience using Microsoft Office and operational systems
