The Opportunity
Black Cat Civil are looking for an experienced Civil Leading Hand to join our team in Gove, NT. The successful applicant will be based in Brisbane or Darwin, and available to work on FIFO 2/1 rosters.
Our Leading Hands support our project Supervisors and play a significant role in the successful delivery of our projects.
Flights, accommodation and food are provided by Black Cat Civil.
Key Responsibilities
Our Leading Hand’s will be involved in a diverse range of works including:
- Road Construction
- Bulk and Detailed Earthworks
- Land Rehabilitation
- Mine maintenance
Our Leading Hand’s are directly responsible for:
- Leadership and onsite direction of work crews
- Activity set out and pick ups
- Ad-hoc plant operating
- Construction methodology
- Safety culture
This opportunity is ideal for any motivated Leading Hands wanting to build a long-term career with a growing civil contractor. The successful candidate MUST be willing to work in remote locations on various rosters as required.
Requirements
- Minimum 5 years on-site experience with reputable contractor.
- Strong work ethic and leadership skills.
- Sound computer and paperwork skills.
- RII for all plant operating tickets
