The Role

We have an exciting opportunity for a hands-on Management Accountant to join our team. This is a unique role suited to someone who enjoys being embedded in operations, working closely with production, sales, and site leadership to drive accurate costing, margin performance, and financial integrity.

This role is highly operational, requiring daily engagement on-site and direct interaction with the factory floor. You’ll play a key part in ensuring costs are captured accurately, projects are financially controlled, and commercial outcomes are achieved.

Key Responsibilities

  • Own and maintain product costing models and pricing structures across the product range
  • Manage job and project costing within the ERP system, ensuring accurate cost allocation and margin tracking
  • Monitor margins and proactively identify risks or opportunities for improvement
  • Work closely with production teams to validate cost inputs, stock movements, and work orders
  • Manage inventory accuracy through cycle counts, stock reconciliations, and BOM reviews
  • Support commercial contract administration including progress claims and retentions
  • Provide financial analysis, reporting, and insights to support decision-making
  • Assist with payroll, invoicing, and accounts processes as required
  • Identify and implement improvements to financial systems, controls, and reporting
  • Ensure compliance with internal controls, company policies, and WHS requirements

About You

To succeed in this role you will be organised, reliable and comfortable working with systems and processes.

You will ideally have:

  • Degree in Accounting, Finance, or Commerce (CPA/CA or working towards highly regarded)
  • Experience in management accounting, cost accounting, or a similar role
  • Strong experience with product costing or project/job costing in manufacturing or construction environments
  • Strong ERP system experience (Ostendo highly regarded)
  • Advanced Excel skills and strong analytical capability
  • High attention to detail with the ability to manage competing priorities
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work closely with operational teams
  • Hands-on, proactive approach with a willingness to be present on the factory floor
