About the role: We are seeking a hands-on Delivery Services Team Leader to lead day-to-day stock handling operations within our Delivery Services team.

In this role, you will coordinate daily tasks, support team members, and ensure goods are stored correctly, inventory is accurate, and orders are dispatched on time. Working alongside the team, you’ll monitor workflow, promote safe work practices, and lead by example to deliver on BFX’s high operational and customer service standards.

This is a full-time, permanent position working Monday to Friday, 6:00am – 2:06pm, with an immediate start available.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and actively participate in day-to-day Delivery Services operations
  • Coordinate routine tasks to support smooth and efficient workflow
  • Assist with order preparation, ensuring accuracy and timely dispatch
  • Support scheduling priorities to meet delivery deadlines and quality standards
  • Liaise with internal teams, customers, suppliers, and transport providers
  • Escalate delivery or operational issues promptly to the Delivery Services Manager
  • Maintain warehouse organisation, stock control, and housekeeping standards
  • Provide hands-on guidance and support to team members on daily tasks
  • Promote and enforce safe work practices, including manual handling and hazard reporting
  • Identify and suggest process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy
  • Perform additional duties as required to support operational needs

Required skills and experience:

  • Proven hands-on experience in warehouse, storage, or distribution environments
  • Experience providing day-to-day guidance or support to team members (e.g. Leading Hand or Senior Storeperson)
  • Ability to coordinate tasks and work effectively in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong communication skills with experience liaising with internal teams, drivers, customers, and suppliers
  • Working knowledge of inventory systems, warehouse tools, or manual stock control processes
  • Basic to intermediate computer skills, including Microsoft applications and warehouse systems
  • Current and valid Forklift Licence with safe operating experience
  • Current and valid Drivers licence
  • Good organisational skills and strong attention to detail
  • Ability to identify and escalate operational issues appropriately
  • Physically fit and capable of manual handling tasks
  • Team-focused approach with the ability to lead by example
  • Strong commitment to workplace health & safety and safe work practices
