As we move into the next wave of cutting-edge work, we’re looking for a skilled Tradesperson (Welder) at our Queanbeyan workshop who takes pride in precision and wants to contribute to projects that truly matter.
About the role
You’ll carry out a variety of welding and fabrication tasks to a high standard of safety, accuracy, and workmanship. This role is well suited to someone who enjoys hands-on work and thrives in a collaborative team environment.
TIG welding is essential, you must be proficient in welding stainless steel using both TIG and MIG methods.
Your work will include:
- Interpret technical drawings and specifications
- Apply welding processes including TIG (essential), MIG, Stick, and oxy/acetylene
- Use thermal cutting methods such as plasma and oxy/acetylene
- Operate and maintain welding equipment safely and effectively
- Support the growth and development of apprentices
What you’ll bring
- Certificate III in Engineering (Fabrication) (essential)
- Demonstrated TIG and MIG welding experience, including stainless steel
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings
- Permanent working rights in Australia
- Willingness to undergo a pre‑employment medical assessment
- White Card, Silica Awareness, and Asbestos Awareness certifications (desirable)
