About this opportunity

We’re looking for an experienced Return to Work & Wellbeing Coordinator to join our People & Culture team, someone who genuinely cares about supporting employees through recovery, champions wellbeing across the business, and brings a practical, people-first approach to injury management.

This role is offered as full-time, however part-time will be considered for the right candidate (minimum 3 days/22.8 hours per week)

About the role

Reporting to the People & Culture Manager, you’ll own the end-to-end return to work process across all Benmax locations, from early intervention through to safe, sustainable outcomes. You’ll also design and drive wellbeing initiatives that build resilience and keep our workforce healthy and engaged.

Your work will include:

  • Managing workers’ compensation claims and return to work programs end-to-end across all locations
  • Providing early intervention support following injury notification and coordinating initial RTW actions
  • Developing and managing suitable duties plans in line with legislation and operational requirements
  • Acting as the key point of contact for injured employees, leaders, insurers and rehabilitation providers
  • Monitoring case progress, identifying risks early and escalating where needed
  • Tracking injury and RTW data to identify trends and drive continuous improvement
  • Designing and delivering targeted wellbeing initiatives, including maximising EAP utilisation
  • Coaching and educating leaders on RTW processes, suitable duties and employee support

What you’ll bring

  • Demonstrated experience in workers’ compensation claims management and return to work coordination
  • Strong knowledge of Australian workers’ compensation legislation and injury management frameworks
  • The ability to balance compliance with a genuine, human-centred approach to supporting employees
  • Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills across all levels
  • Sound analytical capability. You can read data, spot trends and turn insights into action
  • Permanent working rights in Australia
  • Experience in construction, manufacturing or a similar operational environment (desirable)

Qualifications

  • Current Australian driver’s licence (essential)
  • Return to Work Coordinator training or equivalent, or willingness to obtain (essential)
  • Certificate IV in Work Health & Safety (desirable)
  • Mental Health First Aid certificate (desirable)
