Dispatch Officer/Production Worker – Bendpro

Bendpro is seeking a reliable Dispatch Officer to support daily dispatch activities and keep jobs moving safely and on time. This is a hands-on role in a manufacturing environment, working closely with the Workshop Foreman and team. While the role is primarily based in dispatch, you may also assist across other production areas as required.

Essential Requirements:

• Experience packing steel and steel componentry
• Current forklift licence
• Basic computer skills (emailing, uploading/attaching files, creating and printing labels)
• Physical fitness (inherent requirement). This role involves regular standing, walking, bending, and manual handling. You must be able to safely lift, carry, push, and pull items and work in a factory environment while wearing required PPE. Reasonable adjustments may be available.
• Be willing to undergo a medical including drug & alcohol test.

Key responsibilities:

• Assist/co-ordinate daily dispatch activities and priorities
• Check parts and quantities before signing off jobs
• Load trucks (where inducted/authorised and as required)
• Support general factory / production labour as needed
• Maintain a clean and organised work area, including clear walkways and tidy steel storage
• Report safety issues immediately and support continuous improvement in safety, efficiency and quality
• Communicate effectively with team members, drivers and customers in a respectful and professional way.
