We are seeking a highly organised and proactive Administrator to deliver exceptional customer service and provide administrative support to our business. The position of Transport Clerk is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is eager to contribute to the success of one of Western Australia’s leading horticultural businesses.

We’re looking for a Transport Clerk to join our friendly team. This is a full-time permanent role based at our Head Office in Carabooda, north of the river.

ABOUT THE ROLE

Working closely with the Transport Manager, the Transport Clerk is responsible for scheduling and overseeing our team of drivers who deliver to customers across metro Perth and regional WA.

Key Responsibilities

  • Allocating the delivery runs and organising the drivers to ensure deliveries are on time.
  • Scheduling the work in the most cost-effective manner to utilise all vehicles and equipment efficiently.
  • Hours of work are 76 hours per fortnight working on a roster basis:

o Week One – between 5:00am – 1:30pm

    o Week Two – between 5:00am – 1:30pm

    o Week Three – between 5:00am – 1:30pm

    o Week Four – between 11:00pm – 7:30pm

  • Maintaining accurate computer records, inventory levels and tracking vehicles.
  • Communicating with customers regarding deliveries and delivery updates.
  • Ensuring compliance with transport regulations, safety standards, and company procedures.
  • Assisting the Transport Manager with daily tasks and ad-hoc duties.

ABOUT YOU

Ideally you are a person who enjoys problem solving and prioritising work in a fast-paced environment. You will have previous experience as a transport clerk or currently work in the transport and logistics industry. 

Key Requirements

  • Excellent communication skills – written and verbal
  • High level of attention to detail
  • Computer skills, with proficiency in Microsoft Office packages.
  • Excellent organisational skills to maximise operational planning
  • Sound knowledge of metro Perth and regional Western Australia.
  • Current WA Drivers Licence.

Ideally, but not essential you will have an:

  • Understanding and knowledge of transport and vehicle laws and regulations.
  • HR licence.
  • Forklift Certificate
