Description

Regional Coordinator — Brisbane

Being Mentors | Full-time | NDIS Registered Provider

About Being Mentors

Being Mentors is a mentorship organisation operating in the disability space. We match participants with mentors based on personality, interests, and life experience — building genuine relationships that lead to real, long-term independence.

We’re not a traditional support provider. We’re a team of people who believe relationships create growth, and we hire and operate accordingly.

Our values — Compassion, Growth, Community — aren’t on a poster. They shape how we make decisions every day.

About the Role

The Regional Coordinator leads day-to-day operations across our Brisbane region. You’ll work alongside the Regional Manager to support our Team Leaders, Senior Mentors and Mentors, and make sure participants are getting the consistent, high-quality mentoring experience we’re known for.

This is a hands-on leadership role. You’ll coach the team, oversee participant care, work closely with families and stakeholders, and help us continue to grow without losing what makes us different.

What You’ll Be Doing

Leading the team

  • Coaching and developing Team Leaders, Senior Mentors and Mentors
  • Coordinating rosters through Shift Care
  • Supporting recruitment and onboarding of new mentors — with a focus on people with lived experience and diverse backgrounds
  • Helping run staff upskilling, social events, and team initiatives

Overseeing service delivery

  • Holding the standard for quality, compliance and NDIS governance across the region
  • Maintaining weekly face-to-face support hours with participants
  • Updating Participant Care Plans and reviewing risk assessments
  • Managing Service Agreements, weekly referrals, and reporting

Building relationships

  • Working closely with participants, families, support coordinators and plan managers
  • Developing relationships with referral partners to support regional growth
  • Acting as a trusted point of contact across the region

Working with leadership

  • Reporting to the Regional Manager and COO
  • Contributing to strategic initiatives alongside the Regional Manager, COO, and CEO
  • Supporting feedback and complaint management as part of our quality systems

Who We’re Looking For

We hire for personality and capability before paperwork. The right person for this role is someone who:

  • Leads with empathy and genuinely enjoys developing people
  • Is organised, calm under pressure, and good at holding the bigger picture
  • Communicates clearly — written and verbal — with families, staff and external partners
  • Has sound judgement, integrity, and treats confidentiality seriously
  • Understands the NDIS and how good service delivery actually works on the ground
  • Brings prior experience in disability, community services, education, or a related field
  • Is happy to roll up their sleeves when the day calls for it

What You’ll Need

  • Relevant certificate, qualification, or experience
  • Current Driver’s Licence and comprehensive car insurance covering business use
  • NDIS Worker Screening clearance
  • Working with Children Check (Queensland)
  • Familiarity with the NDIS Workforce Capability Framework

What We Offer

  • A team that genuinely backs each other
  • Real autonomy and the chance to shape how the Brisbane region grows
  • Ongoing professional development
  • The opportunity to do work that actually matters — every day

How to Apply

Send your CV and a short cover letter telling us why this role suits you. We’re more interested in who you are and how you think than a perfectly polished application.
