About the role
Join a high-performing Insurance team within a leading Sydney law firm. This is an excellent entry-level opportunity for someone looking to build a career in legal support within a fast-paced and collaborative environment.
This is a 6 month fixed term role and would suit someone who enjoys structured, detail-focused work and is available to work 5 days per week.
About the team
As one of the most highly regarded defendant Insurance practices in Sydney, we have an enviable list of insurer, employer and government clients, who seek our legal assistance in all aspects of workers compensation.
Reporting to the Legal Support Manager, you will provide administrative support to the Insurance team, ensuring efficient file management and smooth day-to-day operations.
You will support a high performing, yet down-to-earth team who are known to work hard but have fun along the way.
The position will suit someone who is highly organised and efficient, with a track record of working well in fast paced environments. The successful candidate will enjoy working as part of a close-knit team and be willing to roll up their sleeves and pitch in.

Key responsibilities
Your daily tasks may include:
- Providing high-quality, professional administrative support
- Sorting, structuring, and bookmarking claim documents and filing them into the correct folders in the document management system (Worksite/iManage)
- Assisting with monthly billing and general admin tasks
- Tracking payment remittances and managing electronic files
- Collating legal documents (e.g. briefs to counsel, instructions, applications
- Monitoring and processing work through the Legal Panel Gateway
About you
Our ideal candidate will possess:
- Prior administrative experience, with knowledge of Insurance and/or Defendant
Workers Compensation law highly regarded
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail (e.g. accurate data entry)
- Proficiency in utilising Microsoft products like Outlook and Adobe, with the ability to quickly grasp new applications.
- Strong ability to navigate efficiently between multiple applications
- Strong team collaboration skills
- A positive and proactive attitude with a willingness to learn and develop new skills
- Self-motivated with a strong ability to complete assigned tasks
