About the Role
Join our permanent part-time team of support workers to deliver NDIS services in Northern Adelaide. We have multiple roles available, with the aim of providing individualised support to clients with cognitive or physical disability and their families, supporting them to live their all.
- Day and afternoon rotating roster, including some passive overnight support services in Northern Metro.
- Average 100 hours per month with an opportunity to expand up to Full-Time capacity.
- Set Rosters published 3 months in advance.
- 7-day access to Team Leader support during the hours of 7 am to 9 pm.
Key responsibilities
- Availability to attend all regular shifts across a rotating roster, including morning, afternoon, evening, and in Northern Metro – passive overnight as required.
- Actively assist and support clients, their family members and/or advocates to understand the National Disability Standards and NDIA.
- Be positive and sensitive to all employees, clients, and family members, needs and requests.
- Support clients to participate within community activities of interest and agreed within their NDIS Plan.
- Ensure that all clients have opportunities to make decisions and choices regarding their recreational pursuits.
- Implement and support development of NDIS plans for all clients.
- Ability to work independently and within a team.
- Proactive approach to duties with strong interpersonal and relationship building skills.
- High standard of work ethic and confidentiality required with a professional and mature disposition.
About you:
Successful candidates must bring with them:
- Legal right to work in Australia.
- Current driver’s license and a roadworthy car certificate and insurance cover.
- Current Assist with Medication Certification
- Current First Aid and CPR Certificate.
- DHS Disability Services or NDIS Worker Check
Qualifications, Certification:
- Certificate III in Individual Support (Disability)
