Exploration Geologist

Ballard Mining is an exploration and mining company exploring for Gold in the Eastern Goldfields with a current resource of 1.2Moz @3.0 g/t Au.

Our Mt Ida Project is rapidly progressing towards mining with a developed camp situated an hours drive from Menzies in the WA Goldfields.

We are currently seeking a Junior Exploration Geologist to join our team on a 6-month fixed-term contract, working on a 15:13 roster. There is potential for this role to transition into a permanent position for the right candidate.

Successful candidates will get exposure to RC, Aircore and Diamond drilling, as well as green/brown fields exploration.

Key accountabilities for this role include (but are not limited to):

• Drill rig supervision.

• Tracking of drill holes to ensure targets are intercepted.

• Ensure all activities on site are completed with the best environmental and safety practices.

• Logging of drillholes.

• Implementation of the Ballard exploration plan

• Field mapping, geochemical sampling and interpretation

• Other adhoc tasks as required on site

To be successful for this role, you will require:

• A BSc. Hons degree in Geology/Geosciences

• A minimum of 1 years’ relevant field experience

• RC and diamond drilling experience

• Remote camp experience is looked on favourably

• Working proficiency with QGIS, Leapfrog and MS Office preferred

• Gold experience is advantageous

• Valid ‘C’ Class Manual Western Australian drivers licence;
