Social Media Coordinator (Fixed Term, Part Time) | Avalon, Northern Beaches, NSW
About the Role
Beckons are seeking a curious, creative and quick-thinking Social Media Coordinator to join our team on a fixed term, part-time basis, telling the stories of some of the most extraordinary places on earth, from Uluṟu to Patagonia. This is a 7-month maternity leave cover role, three days per week, based at our Avalon office on Sydney’s Northern Beaches with hybrid working arrangements.
Sitting within the social media team and reporting to the Social Media Specialist, this role brings the Beckons brand to life across Instagram, Facebook, YouTube, TikTok and LinkedIn. Where the Specialist leads on strategy, you are the one making it happen day to day: scheduling content, nurturing our online communities and ensuring every post and every reply reflects the Beckons voice. Warm, unhurried, precise.
Key responsibilities include:
- Scheduling and publishing organic social content across all channels for Beckons and its individual lodge properties
- Supporting the execution of paid social advertising campaigns, including asset uploading, scheduling and performance monitoring
- Managing community engagement across all channels, responding to comments, direct messages and guest reviews in the brand voice
- Assisting with content capture and editing, including short-form video and image content
- Compiling monthly performance data across channels to support the Social Media Specialist’s reporting
- Coordinating influencer and content creator logistics, including briefing documents and deliverable tracking
- Flagging emerging conversations or sensitive issues to the Social Media Specialist promptly
About You
You are a detail-oriented social media professional with a genuine feel for brand storytelling and community building.
You will ideally have:
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in social media coordination or a related digital content role
- Hands-on proficiency with social media management platforms such as Publer, Hootsuite or similar
- Strong copywriting and proofreading skills with a sharp eye for voice, tone and detail
- Confidence capturing and editing high-quality image and video content
- An analytical mindset, with the ability to interpret social data and contribute to insights
- Excellent organizational skills, with the ability to manage a content calendar across multiple properties
- An appreciation for the Beckons world: regenerative luxury, remarkable places, people-first storytelling
- Current Australian working rights
