About the role
HEH is seeking an experienced Diesel Fitter to join our team in Mareeba. This position may require travel to other sites in Far North Queensland as required.
In this role, you’ll report to the Workshop Manager and be responsible for maintaining and repairing heavy machinery. Your duties will include performing both preventative and breakdown maintenance on our mobile fleet, diagnosing faults, documenting defects, and executing repairs. Additionally, you’ll ensure accurate reporting of issues and maintain thorough maintenance records while providing diagnostic fault findings for breakdowns.
Skills and Experience Required:
• Be trade qualified and have appropriate relevant experience.
• Perform effective fault diagnosis on a variety of equipment.
• Possess the capacity and willingness to be “hands on”.
• Carry out scheduled maintenance in a timely and effective manner.
• Have excellent organisational, communication and reporting skills.
• Demonstrate a sound awareness of WHS Safety procedures.
• Manual HC license would be advantageous
• Current Forklift License would be advantageous
