PRIMARY PURPOSE
This role is primarily responsible for driving new business revenue growth for Supercars by identifying, developing and securing new commercial partnerships across the sport’s key revenue pillars.
The focus is on active prospecting, solution‑based selling and closing new deals, leveraging the scale, passion and reach of the Supercars community to deliver return‑on‑investment driven outcomes for brands and agencies.
Key revenue pillars include:
- Repco Supercars Championship (Series)
- Supercars‑promoted Events
- Bathurst 12 Hour
- Category and commercial rights
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
New Business Development & Sales Execution
- Own new business development activity end‑to‑end, with a strong emphasis on outbound prospecting, pitching and deal conversion
- Identify and pursue new revenue opportunities that supplement and expand existing commercial offerings across the sport
- Proactively engage brands and agencies in market, positioning Supercars as a premium platform to achieve marketing and commercial objectives
- Build and maintain a robust sales pipeline across opportunities ranging from ~$20k to 1m+
- Execute the full sales cycle including prospecting, cold outreach, proposal development, negotiation and contract execution
- Drive both short‑term event‑based sales and longer‑term Championship or multi‑event partnerships
Commercial Solutions & Negotiation
- Develop tailored, ROI‑led partnership solutions aligned to client objectives, category insights and audience data
- Utilise Supercars research tools and commercial insights to create compelling, insight‑led sales propositions
- Negotiate commercial terms and manage contractual processes in collaboration with Legal and Finance
- Source and secure a range of revenue opportunities including sponsorships, signage, activations, hospitality and category rights
Collaboration & Market Presence
- Work closely with the Head of Sales and broader Commercial team to support revenue targets and new business goals
- Attend Supercars events with prospective clients and agency partners to showcase the sport and accelerate deal momentum
- Maintain up‑to‑date CRM records, tracking prospects, pipeline activity and deal progress
- Monitor market activity, competitor partnerships and category gaps to inform ongoing prospecting strategies
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
- Deliver against agreed new business revenue targets
- Maintain a disciplined, proactive and consistent outbound sales approach
- Build a high‑value pipeline across all Supercars properties
- Secure new commercial partners and successfully convert opportunities into signed agreements
- Support the ongoing growth and relevance of Supercars through innovative commercial partnerships

EXPERIENCE
- 3–5+ years’ experience in new business sales, sponsorship sales or commercial partnerships, ideally within sport, entertainment, media or live events
- Proven ability to prospect, pitch and close new business, managing opportunities from lead generation through to executed contracts
- Strong track record of achieving or exceeding revenue targets across a mix of short‑term and long‑term deals
- Experience developing bespoke, ROI‑driven commercial solutions aligned to brand and marketing objectives
- Confident engaging senior stakeholders across brands and agencies
- Commercially astute negotiator, comfortable working through terms with legal teams
- Highly organised, pipeline‑driven and disciplined in CRM usage
- Existing industry network desirable, with the appetite and capability to build new relationships
- Passion for sport and live events highly regarded
