About the role
Austroads is looking for a Program Coordinator to support the delivery of transport initiatives across Australia and New Zealand.
Working within the Austroads Transport Network Operations Program, you will coordinate projects, support stakeholder engagement and maintain high-quality governance and reporting. You will support a portfolio of projects and work closely with the Program Manager, internal team members, and stakeholders from government agencies across Australia and New Zealand.
In this role you will gain exposure to transport policy and program delivery across Australasia. The role provides opportunities to build experience in project coordination, stakeholder engagement and program governance. This is a full-time role within the Research, Guidance & Practice team at Austroads.
Role Responsibilities
Program and project coordination
- Support the delivery of multiple projects across the program, including tracking progress and deliverables
- Support monitoring of budgets, scheduling and performance
- Assist in the development of project documentation
Meetings and administration
- Coordinate meetings for Task Forces, Technical Reference Groups and project working groups
- Secretariat services such as preparing agendas, minutes and follow-up actions
- Provide general administrative support across the program
Stakeholder engagement
- Support the collection and consolidation of feedback from members
Reporting
- Assist in preparing reports, briefings and correspondence on program activities and progress
- Assist in maintaining program documentation and records
Continuous improvement
- Contribute to improving processes and ways of working across the program
- Maintain and adhere to Quality Systems processes and procedures associated with the role

About you
The preferred candidate will have the following key capabilities:
- Strong organisation and coordination skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities
- Clear written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work effectively with both internal teams, and external stakeholders
- Good judgement and problem-solving skills
- High attention to detail and ability to follow processes
- Experience coordinating meetings, undertaking secretariat tasks, and managing documentation
Desirable experience:
- Experience supporting projects or programs (eg in government, consulting, or infrastructure sectors)
- Familiarity with transport, infrastructure or public policy environments
The successful candidate will be required to complete and provide a National Police Check (no older than 1 month) prior to their commencement with Austroads.
