Are you a passionate marketing communications professional looking for a high impact role working with a dynamic team?

We’re seeking a Campaign and Community Manager for the newly formed Australian Retail Council (ARC) – the unified voice of Australia’s $444 billion retail sector.

You will lead the planning, development and delivery of integrated marketing campaigns strengthen the ARC brand, grow membership and elevate our advocacy priorities. You will also manage ARC’s online communities, drive deep engagement across Australia’s largest retail network and build strong relationships with members and industry stakeholders. Your work will help us deliver influential advocacy campaigns that truly make a difference.

About the Role:

  • Execute and optimise integrated marketing campaigns aligned to the ARC marketing plan and commercial objectives, identifying channel and campaign-level opportunities to drive growth and engagement.
  • Support the delivery of strategic communications that support retailers on key issues and initiatives, reinforcing ARC’s position as the voice of Australian retail.
  • Lead development and execution of integrated go-to-market campaigns for membership and advocacy initiatives, events, research reports, and member services, ensuring alignment with broader marketing strategy. Plan and deliver campaign activity for key initiatives including conferences, forums, summits, retail holidays, and thought-leadership releases, as well as sponsorship campaigns, member products and research launches.
  • Manage ARC’s social media presence and community in collaboration with the Campaign and Community Specialist. driving audience growth and engagement while fostering a community that reflects the ARC values.
  • Oversee the creation of high-quality, on-brand content across all channels, including eDMs, social media, web copy, presentations, and member collateral, ensuring consistency with ARC brand guidelines.
  • Activate member stories, retailer case studies, and partner initiatives, while identifying new opportunities to deepen community connection through content and conversations.
  • Monitor and report on campaign and channel performance, using data and insights to optimise campaigns, improve engagement, and inform decision making.
  • Coordinate marketing execution across the organisation, partnering with internal teams (Policy, Events, Membership, Partnerships, Industry Engagement and Media) to understand priorities and translate them into effective marketing activity.
  • Manage external agencies, designers, and freelancers to deliver best-in-class creative.
  • Provide leadership and direction to the Campaign and Community Specialist, overseeing workflow, prioritisation, and campaign delivery.

About You:

  • 5+ years’ experience in marketing, campaigns, digital or community roles, ideally including experience within membership, association, retail or B2B environments.
  • Proven expertise delivering end-to-end, multi-channel marketing campaigns across email, social, web and content.
  • Strong content creation and storytelling skills, with the ability to produce clear, engaging and on-brand copy.
  • Working knowledge of CRM and marketing automation tools (e.g. Higher Logic or similar).
  • Comfortable using data and insights to monitor performance and improve campaign effectiveness.
  • Strong stakeholder management and communication skills, with experience working across multiple teams and priorities.
  • Highly organised, with the ability to manage competing deadlines in fast-paced environments.
  • Strong understanding of brand consistency and creative development processes.
  • Experience in advocacy, policy or media-influenced environments is highly regarded.
