About the role
We are seeking a Travel Officer / Events Coordinator to support the delivery of the AMC’s travel and events activities by coordinating travel arrangements and event logistics. This role ensures organisational activities are planned and delivered smoothly, efficiently and professionally.
Working closely with internal stakeholders and external providers, you will coordinate travel bookings, support event planning and delivery, and provide high-quality administrative support to ensure efficient and professional outcomes. Success in this role requires exceptional organisational skills, strong attention to detail, and the ability to manage competing priorities in a dynamic environment.
This is a 12-month fixed-term opportunity offering the chance to contribute to meaningful work within a collaborative and supportive team. There may be the opportunity for the position to be extended or become ongoing, subject to organisational requirements.

Key responsibilities
- Coordinate and manage all travel arrangements for staff, including flights, accommodation, and transportation.
- Plan, organise, and execute events, ensuring all logistical aspects are handled efficiently.
- Maintain relationships with travel vendors and event suppliers to secure the best rates and services.
- Prepare and manage budgets for travel and events, ensuring adherence to financial guidelines.
- Assist in the development of event marketing materials and communication strategies.
- Provide on-site support during events, ensuring all activities run smoothly.
- Monitor and evaluate the success of events and travel arrangements, making recommendations for improvements.
About you
- Proven experience in travel coordination and event planning, preferably in a corporate environment.
- Excellent organisational and time management skills with the ability to manage competing priorities.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a customer-focused approach.
- Proficiency in using travel management software and event planning tools with strong technical and administrative capability, including experience with systems and databases;
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, demonstrating initiative and problem-solving skills.
