About the opportunity
As an ICT Exam Support Officer, you will provide Level 1 ICT and technical support to help ensure the reliable delivery of AMC Clinical Examinations, including in-person and video conference-based examinations. This role supports AMC staff, contractors, exam teams and stakeholders through timely, professional and practical ICT support.
In this role, you will:
- Provide Level 1 ICT support during AMC Clinical Examinations, helping to maintain business continuity and minimise disruption to examination delivery.
- Troubleshoot and resolve routine technical issues across computers, software, hardware, systems and user access, escalating more complex matters where required.
- Support desktop, audio-visual and video conferencing systems, including equipment checks, software deployment, peripheral setup and basic system administration tasks.
- Maintain accurate support records, user guides, documentation and knowledge base information to support consistent ICT service delivery.
- Work collaboratively with ICT and operational teams to support continuous improvement, effective service delivery and a respectful, culturally safe workplace.
About you
You will be a motivated and customer-focused ICT professional who enjoys solving problems, supporting users and working in a busy operational environment. This role would suit someone early in their ICT career, including a recent graduate or someone with relevant experience in IT support.
You will bring:
- Skills in installing, testing, troubleshooting and maintaining PCs, printers, software, hardware and related ICT systems.
- Experience in a customer-facing role, preferably providing technical support or advice to end users.
- Basic knowledge of Windows troubleshooting, Microsoft desktop and server operating systems, and general ICT support practices.
- Strong communication, teamwork and problem-solving skills, with the ability to respond to issues in a calm, methodical and timely manner.
- A genuine interest in developing your ICT career, with either a completed or current ICT qualification, or at least one year of relevant IT experience, desirable.
A flexible approach to working hours is required, as the role may include occasional weekend work in line with examination schedules.
