evolution of golf in Australia, and the EVOLVE pillar sits at the centre of
that ambition.
By 2030, we want all 1,800+ golf courses and
golf venues across Australia to commit to evolving their experiences for the
modern golfing customer.
We’re looking for an exceptional leader to
help bring this to life.
ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY
As Head of Evolve – Emerging Formats, you will lead Golf
Australia’s EVOLVE portfolio, driving the delivery of one of the organisation’s
most significant strategic priorities.
Working across the entire Places to Play division, you’ll
lead initiatives that help clubs, public golf venues and emerging golf format experiences
evolve to meet the needs of today’s and tomorrow’s golfers.
Reporting to the General Manager – Places to Play, you’ll
partner with emerging golf experience operators – including driving ranges,
simulator venues and entertainment golf venues to strengthen Australia’s golf
ecosystem and create more welcoming, flexible and connected participation
opportunities.
You will ideate, design and lead projects that enable GA to
deliver on the ambition for Australian Golf, by driving, changing, and improving
organisational performance and working across teams and industry partners to
help modernise how Australians experience golf.
You will help connect off-course and on-course experiences,
support emerging venues and lead initiatives that make golf more accessible,
flexible and relevant to future generations.
This is not a traditional participation role.
This is a transformation role.
What you’ll do
- Ideate,
design and lead strategic projects that deliver the EVOLVE ambition and
translate strategy into measurable outcomes.
- Deliver
strategic initiatives aligned to the EVOLVE pillar.
- Lead
high-impact projects and transformation initiatives.
- Drive
performance, accountability and delivery across key priorities and all
aspects of the Places to Play team
- Partner
with golf clubs, public facilities and emerging golf experiences to
support innovation and customer-focused experiences. Improve how golf
connects with new and existing participants.
- Build
partnerships across industry, government and key stakeholders to influence
the future direction of golf.
- Work
collaboratively across all functions within the Places to Play division,
together with Participation, Commercial, Customer and Digital teams.
- Help
remove barriers to participation and improve experiences across the golf
ecosystem.
- Translate
strategy into action.

Experience within sport is helpful, but not essential.
We are equally interested in leaders from customer, leisure,
tourism, hospitality, retail, consulting, entertainment, transformation or
service industries.

diverse network of clubs, venues, places to play and industry partners. This
role is central to making that happen.
