About the role

The Growth Manager, Professional Development is responsible for driving enrolments and revenue growth for AusIMM’s online course portfolio through disciplined sales execution and proactive market engagement. The role focuses on converting inbound demand, generating new opportunities, and building strong relationships with technical decision-makers across the resources sector. 

Key responsibilities include:

  • Drive enrolments and revenue growth for AusIMM’s online professional development courses
  • Convert inbound enquiries into enrolments through timely and structured follow-up
  • Generate new business opportunities through targeted outbound sales activity
  • Build strong relationships with technical decision-makers across the resources sector
  • Plan and deliver engagement activities such as webinars, briefings, meetings and events
  • Maintain a healthy sales pipeline and accurate CRM reporting to support conversion performance
  • Represent AusIMM at industry events and meetings

About you

You will possess a deep understanding of market dynamics, customer behaviour, and competitive landscapes within the professional development sector. You will have a background in sales/marketing/business development, excellent strategic thinking skills, and the ability to build and maintain relationships with business partners.

You will have:

  • At least 3+ years experience in B2B sales, business development, or commercial roles
  • Demonstrated ability to meet and exceed revenue targets
  • Experience managing a sales pipeline and converting leads
  • Strong relationship management and stakeholder engagement skills
  • Commercial mindset and ability to identify and act on opportunities
  • Excellent written and verbal communications skills
  • Confidence to proactively engage new audiences, including cold outreach, presenting to groups, and hosting webinars
  • Ability to work independently and manage competing priorities

Desirable

  • Understanding of the mining or resources sector
  • Experience in professional development or education products
  • Familiarity with CRM systems and sales reporting
