About the Role
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) Advisor to join our team at a Wind Farm Construction Project in NSW.
In this role, you will play a pivotal part in ensuring our project meets and upholds the highest standards of health, safety, and environmental compliance. You will help drive the HSE function across the project, ensuring alignment with legislation, company systems, and client requirements.
You will lead investigations, audits, and continuous improvement initiatives, working alongside a team of passionate professionals both on-site and across projects nationwide. This is an opportunity to make a meaningful impact in creating a safer and more sustainable work environment.
Key responsibilities include:
- Ensure compliance with WHS and environmental regulations through inspections, audits, and risk assessments.
- Monitor and maintain environmental compliance across construction activities.
- Lead incident investigations and prepare corrective action recommendations (ICAM/Taproot preferred).
- Coordinate and deliver safety training and toolbox sessions.
- Develop and maintain emergency response plans.
- Manage HSE documentation, reporting, and regulatory submissions.
- Identify and mitigate safety and environmental risks.
- Promote a strong onsite safety culture through engagement and coaching.
- Liaise with regulatory bodies regarding permits, compliance, and site requirements.
- Oversee safety equipment standards, maintenance, and availability.
Qualifications & Experience
- Diploma in WHS or Certificate IV in WHS, with 3+ years’ HSE experience
- Background in construction or renewable energy (highly desirable)
- ICAM/Taproot experience (preferred)
- TAE qualification (desirable)
- Strong understanding of federal, state, and local HSE legislation
- Excellent communication, problem-solving, and organisational skills
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a site-based project team
- Comfortable working in a remote, active construction environment
