About the role:
Due to rapid growth and a strong pipeline of client projects, we are currently looking for multiple Simulation and Software Engineers to support the delivery of several complex modelling & simulation
(M&S) capabilities for the Australian Defence Force (ADF). This role would suit candidates with experience in any of the following areas:
- Software development;
- EO/IR or RF technologies;
- Synthetic test & evaluation;
- Modelling & simulation; or
- Electronic warfare.
This role will be based on-site at DSTG Edinburgh and will work in close collaboration with clients, stakeholders and multi-disciplinary engineering and science teams.
Key Responsibilities:
- Contribute to the development and maintenance of simulation frameworks
- Develop, configure and validate synthetic models for use in experiments
- Support the planning and execution of simulation-based experiments and trials
- Analyse experimental outputs and derive insight for technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Provide training in tools and workflows to end-users and maintain associated training documents.
- Continuously improve simulation fidelity, performance, and useability
About you:
- Familiarity in Electronic Warfare (EW), EO/IR or RF systems or related domains
- Experience in software development (e.g. C++, MATLAB, or similar)
- Background in modelling & simulation, including tools, frameworks, and synthetic environments
- Experience working on complex Defence projects
- Experience designing and analysing experiments and interpreting results
- Bachelors degree in engineering, science, or a related field

Senior/Principal Engineers: providing technical leadership, architecture guidance, and mentoring to other engineers.
Due to a requirement to be eligible for a NV1 security clearance, Australian Citizenship is required.
