About the Role:

Aurizn are seeking a motivated Research Engineer to join a collaborative team working on advanced sensing and signal processing technologies.

In this role, you’ll contribute to the design, development, and evaluation of cutting-edge algorithms, supporting everything from concept development through to real-world testing and system integration. You’ll work closely with experienced engineers across research and software teams, helping bring innovative ideas into practical application.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Contribute to the development and analysis of advanced signal processing algorithms for detection, tracking, and characterisation of targets.
  • Support the design and implementation of array processing and estimation techniques.
  • Build and test algorithm prototypes using tools like MATLAB.
  • Analyse data, generate insights, and present findings through clear visualisations and reports.
  • Participate in lab and field trials to validate performance using real-world data.
  • Collaborate with software engineers to transition prototypes into deployable solutions.

About You:

  • A degree in Electronic, Electrical, or related engineering discipline, with a few years of relevant experience.
  • Strong foundations in signal processing and analytical problem-solving.
  • Experience using MATLAB (or similar tools) for modelling, simulation, or algorithm development.
  • A collaborative mindset and the ability to communicate technical ideas clearly.
  • Exposure to programming languages such as Python or C/C++.
  • Familiarity with sensing systems, RF concepts, or array-based processing.

Due to a requirement to be eligible for a NV1 security clearance, Australian Citizenship is required.
