The Opportunity
Aurizn is seeking expressions of interest to join our team in Tindall, NT as a Field Service Technician. The successful candidate will take primary responsibility for the day-to-day maintenance and support of the client’s information systems and radios, as outlined within Aurizn, formally Pacific Aerospace Consulting contracts.
As a Subject Matter Expert, assignments will vary, but will include the following responsibilities:
- Managing and maintaining configuration of applicable hardware and software to ensure operational suitability and commonality.
- Responding to Help Desk calls in an expedient and effective manner; engaging Defence Wings & Squadrons.
- Assisting operational staff in implementing the best approach when utilising Tactical Data Link Systems.
- Providing input to development of technical documentation related to design and operational procedures.
- Assisting in the technical implementation of approved Engineering Change Proposals, including installation of hardware and software.
- Participating in fault investigation and rectification activities to ensure operational effectiveness; and reporting findings through Aurizn ICSI team to ensure configuration control.
About You:
- Autonomous professional with strong judgement, integrity, and critical thinking.
- 2+ years ICT experience with specialised expertise in Tactical Information Exchange.
- At least 1 year experience handling cryptographic material and HACE.
- Strong communication skills with ability to engage stakeholders effectively and sensitively.
- Proven ability to work independently and in teams, using initiative to meet deadlines.
- Desirable: Military Tactical Data Links (Link-16/22, VMF), training delivery, and experience in network operations, configuration, and data management.
Due to a requirement for Defence Clearance to undertake the duties of the role, Australian Citizenship is required.
