Our enterprise solution supports local government, government, and education organisations to manage bookings, venues, events, appointments and customer experiences more effectively.
As we continue to grow, we’re looking for a Team Lead, Software Engineering to lead a small engineering squad while remaining hands-on in delivery.
This role is designed for an experienced software engineer who enjoys solving complex problems, mentoring others, and is ready to take the next step into people leadership without stepping away from building.
You’ll help set the technical standard, support delivery outcomes, and create an environment where engineers can do their best work.
What you’ll be doing
Lead through technical excellence
• Set and uphold engineering standards across code quality, testing, architecture and design
• Make pragmatic technical decisions within the squad and contribute to broader
engineering direction
• Translate technical strategy into clear, actionable outcomes
Stay hands-on and deliver meaningful outcomes
• Contribute directly to engineering delivery across full application stack (web, mobile and embedded).Experience developing solutions using Microsoft .NET, Typescript and Angular or React toolsets
• Lead architecture discussions, code reviews and technical problem solving
• Balance delivery priorities while identifying risks, dependencies and trade-offs early
Grow people and build a high-performing team
• Run regular 1:1s focused on delivery, development and wellbeing
• Coach and mentor engineers while supporting career growth
• Manage squad capacity, prioritisation and day-to-day execution
Collaborate across teams
• Partner closely with Product, Design and QA to shape solutions from idea through to delivery
• Represent the squad across leadership discussions and communicate progress with clarity and confidence
• Contribute to continuous improvement across engineering practices and ways of working
What we’re looking for
You’ll likely bring:
• 8+ years’ experience delivering enterprise software products
• Strong full-stack engineering capability with modern technologies, ideally with
exposure to Microsoft .NET, Typescript and Angular or React toolsets
• Demonstrated experience leading technically and influencing engineering outcomes
• Experience mentoring engineers and helping teams improve performance
• Experience working within Agile product delivery environments
• Strong communication and stakeholder management capabilities
• Desire to continue being hands-on solving problems while growing into formal people leadership
Bonus points if you have:
• Previous experience running 1:1s or supporting team development
• Experience balancing delivery leadership with technical contribution
• Exposure working closely with Product, Design and QA functions
• Experience in SaaS or enterprise software environments
