Assett Group Services is a leader in the provision of maintenance services, specialising in the social housing sector. We are seeking an experienced Project Supervisor to join our offsite team.
To be successful in this role you will have previous experience managing or supervising onsite maintenance works, looking after multi-site works, trades and subcontractors. You will be working directly with our client to ensure maintenance tasks and upgrades are carried out. A competitive salary plus company vehicle is on offer for this position.
Your duties will include:
- Travelling to different work sites in allocated client area to ensure that work is progressing to schedule
- Directing, coordinating, supervising and allocating work areas/schedules within allocated region
- Performing various computer and admin tasks
- Working in accordance with Contract Specifications and Management plans
- Overseeing site compliance and WHS standards
- Raising unresolved concerns and issues to internal team
- Conducting random quality checks of works
- Preparing quote variations for our client(s)
- Working closely with our internal project team on all site or project matters
- Liaising with occupants/tenants
- Attending onsite meetings with clients and their representatives as required
- Maintaining regular client contact as required, to ensure completion of works to required standards
- Addressing client queries/concerns
- Attending monthly onsite toolbox meetings
- Providing technical advice and support to resolve identified issues
- Attending staff training when requested
Skills & Experience
Our ideal candidate must enjoy working in a fast-paced environment and come from a similar role within the building industry (preferable residential, maintenance and repair). A trade or facility management background would also be an advantage.

- Intermediate skills in Microsoft Office programs – Word, Excel and Outlook
- Results oriented individual with a strong work and service ethic
- Problem solving skills with high level attention to detail
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Team Player – collaborative in approach and working for the overall purpose of the team
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in a similar role is preferred
Essential
- A Supervisor/Building or Trade/Apprenticeship Certificate or 5 years’ experience in a similar role
- Current valid NSW Driver’s Licence
- Current Work Cover WHS Induction Certificate (Construction)
- Asbestos Management and Control in the Workplace Certificate
Desirable
- Relevant Trades Licence issued by Department of Fair Trading
- Builder’s Licence or Builder’s Licence (Supervisor) issued by Dept. of Fair Trading; or Qualification which is suitable for issue of a Supervisor’s Licence
- Lead Abatement Certificate
- Safe Work at Heights Certificate
- Asbestos Removal Certificate (Friable Asbestos)
- Bonded Asbestos for Supervisor’s Certificate
- Current First Aid Certificate
