About the Role

We are seeking a motivated and customer-focused IT Support Officer (Level 1–2) to join our Corporate Services team on a 12-month contract. Reporting to the IT Systems Manager, this role is responsible for delivering responsive IT support across all ASQ sites. This position plays a key role in maintaining the reliability, security and performance of ASQ’s technology environment. All while ensuring a positive user experience for all employees and stakeholders.

Your main responsibilities will Include:

IT Support & Service Delivery:

  • Providing first and second-level IT support across all ASQ sites
  • Responding to and resolving incidents and service requests in a timely manner
  • Troubleshooting hardware, software, network and system issues
  • Supporting users across desktop, mobile and cloud environments

End-User Systems & Devices:

  • Supporting Microsoft environments including Windows, Microsoft 365 and Active Directory
  • Assisting with user account management, access and password resets
  • Maintaining laptops, desktops, printers and mobile devices
  • Supporting meeting room technology, AV systems, site communications and security systems

Device Deployment & Asset Management:

  • Assisting with workstation setup, deployment and configuration
  • Maintaining accurate asset registers and IT inventory
  • Supporting lifecycle management of IT hardware and equipment

Systems, Security & Access:

  • Managing user provisioning, de-provisioning and system access
  • Updating roles and permissions for onboarding, offboarding and role changes
  • Maintaining accurate access records
  • Supporting security practices including MFA and endpoint protection
  • Escalating security risks and system issues as required

Projects & Continuous Improvement:

  • Supporting IT projects including upgrades, rollouts and system implementations
  • Assisting with testing and deployment of new technologies
  • Contributing to process improvements and system enhancements
  • Maintaining IT documentation, knowledge articles and user guides

Key Selection Criteria

    The successful candidate will demonstrate:

  • Experience in an IT support or service desk environment
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
  • Experience supporting Microsoft environments (Windows, Microsoft 365)
  • Exposure to Active Directory, Intune, MFA or similar systems (desirable)
  • Strong customer service and communication skills
  • Ability to prioritise and manage multiple tasks effectively
  • High attention to detail and organisational skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • A proactive mindset with a focus on continuous improvement
  • Flexibility to travel between ASQ sites

Education, Certification and Licences Required:

  • Certificate III or IV in Information Technology or related discipline (desirable)
  • Valid Australian driver’s licence
