Help drive Australia’s clean energy future.
Ark Energy is growing – and so is our ambition. As we grow from a development-only model to building, owning, and operating our renewable energy assets, we’re looking for a skilled and motivated Electrical Engineer to help shape the future of clean energy in Australia by supporting the design of electrical systems in Ark Energy’s Projects.

- Design and review MV/LV electrical systems and substation layouts.
- Ensure consultant designs comply with Australian Standards.
- Develop and review electrical system specs and tender documents.
- Support the scoping and management of the electrical design across project lifecycle.
- Assist with cost estimates, specs, and evaluation of electrical construction works.
- Prepare concept designs for underground/overhead reticulation using AutoCAD.
- Provide electrical engineering support during construction, testing & commissioning.
- Finalise documentation and support handover to O&M teams.
- Maintain technical standards, mentor junior staff, and build stakeholder relationships.
What You’ll Bring
- Tertiary qualifications in Electrical Engineering and strong experience in the power generation, transmission, or distribution sectors, particularly in substation and underground cable system
design.
- Chartered Professional Engineer status (including RPEQ), or eligible for registration within 6 months with company support (desirable).
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office and relevant engineering software.
- Strong technical capability in producing engineering documentation, problem-solving, and working in interdisciplinary design and construction teams.
- Well-organised, self-motivated and able to work independently.
- Understanding of the Australian renewable energy sector and the National Energy Market.
- Willingness and ability to travel to project sites across Australia as and if required.
