About the Role

We’re seeking an experienced and skilled Project Manager to lead the delivery of high-impact programs that support the primary health care nursing workforce across Australia. In this role, you will take ownership of project outcomes, managing timelines, budgets and resources, while leading a small team and working closely with stakeholders to deliver meaningful results.

You’ll play a key leadership role in a collaborative and purpose-led environment, balancing competing priorities, driving accountability, and ensuring projects are delivered to a high standard. This is an exciting opportunity to apply your project management expertise in a role that makes a real difference to the health sector.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead delivery of project workplans, including timelines, milestones and deliverables
  • Manage project budgets, including forecasting, performance monitoring and corrective actions
  • Monitor risks, priorities and resources to ensure delivery within scope and governance requirements
  • Lead and manage stakeholder engagement, including key external partnerships
  • Support senior-level stakeholder engagement alongside the Senior Managers
  • Provide leadership and direction to project team members, driving accountability and performance
  • Analyse program data and research to generate insights and recommendations
  • Prepare reports, operational briefs and funding deliverables
  • Ensure continuous improvement through performance monitoring and evaluation

 

What We Are Looking For

  • 3–5 years’ experience delivering projects with accountability for scope, timelines, budget and risk
  • Proven experience managing budgets, including forecasting and variance management
  • Strong project leadership skills, including prioritisation and resource allocation
  • Demonstrated ability to manage risks and make decisions in complex environments
  • Experience leading or mentoring staff to achieve project outcomes
  • Strong stakeholder management and influencing skills
  • Ability to analyse data and deliver clear, actionable insights and reporting
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel,PowerPoint, Outlook)
  • Understanding of the primary health care environment

 

Desirable:

  • Formal project management qualifications (e.g. PRINCE2, PMI, Agile)
  • Relevant tertiary qualifications in health, business or program management
