About APNA 

The Australian Primary Health Care Nurses Association (APNA) is the peak and professional body for nurses working in primary health care. APNA champions the role of primary health care nurses; to advance professional recognition, ensure workforce sustainability, nurture leadership in health, and optimise the role of nurses in person-centred care. 

Purpose of the role:

Support the Senior Manager, Marketing and Communications, the Marketing and Engagement Manager, and the Communications Manager with the execution and optimisation of APNA’s digital marketing and communications strategies.

Key responsibilities:

  • Lead the technical administration and optimisation of APNA’s digital marketing ecosystem, including tracking pixels, conversion tags, UTM frameworks, audience integrations and campaign attribution.
  • Manage and optimise paid digital campaigns across platforms including Meta, Google and LinkedIn, using data insights to improve performance, conversions and return on investment.
  • Maintain and optimise APNA’s CRM marketing systems, including audience segmentation, email automations, nurture journeys, campaign workflows and user experience pathways.
  • Develop dashboards and monthly performance reports across digital channels including website traffic, campaign performance, conversion activity, audience behaviour and engagement trends.
  • Provide data-led recommendations and strategic advice to internal stakeholders to improve campaign effectiveness, customer journeys, lead generation and audience engagement.
  • ·Support the management of APNA’s digital platforms, ensuring accurate tagging, tracking functionality, campaign landing pages and digital best practice.
  • Use social media management platforms to schedule, monitor and optimise channel activity, with content execution supported where required.

Essential Skills

  • Strong analytical capability with demonstrated experience interpreting performance data, identifying trends and providing actionable recommendations.
  • Proven experience implementing and managing pixels, tags, event tracking, conversion APIs, UTM structures and campaign attribution models.
  • Advanced working knowledge of Google GA 4, Looker Studio and other reporting or business intelligence tools.
  • Strong understanding of CRM platforms and marketing automation systems, including segmentation, workflows, lead nurturing and user journeys.
  • Experience managing and optimising paid campaigns across Meta, Google and LinkedIn platforms.
  • Experience using digital tools such as Buffer, Buzz Sprout, Campaign Monitor and / or other CRM platforms.
  • Ability to diagnose issues across tracking, reporting, campaign setup and digital platforms.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, Digital Media, Data Analytics or related field.
  • 3+ years’ experience in digital marketing, marketing automation, campaign optimisation or analytics-focused roles.
  • Demonstrated experience with GA4, Looker Studio, CRM systems and campaign tracking implementation.
  • Experience in membership, health or not-for-profit sectors would be highly regarded.
