Description

Apex Building Products in Narangba is seeking a highly organised and motivated person to join our Team! As our Purchasing Officer, you will play a key role in supporting our operations by ensuring materials and products are ordered accurately and on time. You will report to the Process & Systems Leader and work closely with our sales, warehouse, and operations teams while building strong relationships with suppliers.

Key Responsibilities

  • Raising and processing purchase orders with suppliers.
  • Monitoring order progress and following up with suppliers.
  • Maintaining accurate purchasing records and documentation.
  • Reconciling supplier invoices and resolving discrepancies through credit claims.
  • Monitoring & recording price changes within our systems.
  • Liaising with internal & external sales teams to ensure stock availability.
  • Assisting with continuous improvements to purchasing processes.

About You

We are looking for someone who is:

  • Exceptionally organised with strong attention to detail.
  • Comfortable working with numbers, systems, and administrative processes.
  • Strong in time management with the ability to prioritise tasks and manage multiple deadlines.
  • A confident communicator with a professional approach to suppliers and colleagues.
  • Proactive, reliable, and eager to learn.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, SAP knowledge is a bonus.

Previous experience in a purchasing or procurement role is beneficial but not essential. If you have strong administration skills, enjoy working in a fast-paced environment, and have a willingness to learn, we’d love to hear from you.
