state-of-the-art tube laser machine. We are currently seeking a CNC Machine Operator – Afternoon
Shift to join our processing team. This is a hands-on, multi-skilled role working across a range of CNC machines, including beamline, profile cutting, and our new tube laser. Please note: Successful applicants must be available to complete an initial training period on day shift before transitioning to the afternoon shift roster.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Operating multiple CNC machines including tube laser, beamline, and profile cutting equipment.
- Loading and unloading steel using forklifts, cranes, and in-feed/out-feed systems.
- Reading workshop drawings and NC files to deliver accurate production.
- Performing basic machine setups, maintenance, and tool changes.
- Completing quality checks and maintaining traceability.
- Supporting a safe, clean, and efficient workshop.
- Working closely with programming, operations, and logistics teams.
What We’re Looking For
- CNC machine operation experience across multiple machines (highly regarded).
- Background in steel manufacturing or metal processing (highly regarded).
- Current Forklift Licence (essential).
- Gantry crane experience (highly regarded).
- Strong attention to detail and a solid work ethic.
- Physically fit and comfortable with manual handling.
- Team player with good communication skills.
- Willingness to undertake a pre-employment medical and drug & alcohol screening.
